Fides Quaerens Intellectum: Faith seeking understanding is the borrowed motto of MandM. Academic writings, and those who write them, can be seen to be out of touch with the ‘real world.’ Christians seeking to engage the ‘real world’ can unintentionally fall into a sub-culture that seems cutting and with it to other Christians but in fact misses the mark. The MandM blog addresses Christian philosophy, theology, ethics, jurisprudence, civil liberties, politics and social commentary from a distinctly kiwi perspective, utilising a deliberate blend of academic and popular writings, with a good measure of dry humour. MandM also share snippets of their life, their family, their aspirations and careers. The resulting blend showcases the academic heights Christianity can aspire to and demonstrates the practicality of such projects for the average Christian living in the ‘real world.’
