Ok, we’re not quite there yet with having a baby per se, but we hear that writing down your goals creates a roadmap to success. Think of this blog as step 1 and look out for future blogs like “John and Steve Learn the Salsa” and “John and Steve Win a $100k Shopping Spree at Prada”. Truth is that for two gay men living in New York City it’s a very long road to fatherhood (unless you frequent The Townhouse then you just need a cab to 58th St.). So we thought that if we document our own personal experience we would be doing at least one of the following: 1.) Help aspiring daddies across the US gain insight into the process (this is our Miss Gay America answer) 2.) Develop our own understanding and focus on making one of our dreams a reality (or at least have a laugh) 3.) To abuse- I mean utilize- this blog as record of all the effort, pain, stress, financial burden and ofcourse LOVE it took to make “it” happen (especially useful during the rebellious teenage years when we can guilt “it” into running downstairs for Cherry Garcia ice-cream and Charmin 2-ply toilet paper)
